WORKING MIDDLE CLASS AMERICA FOR GOVERNMENTAL REFORM
WORKING MIDDLE CLASS AMERICA FOR GOVERNMENTAL REFORM is a 'grass roots' organization comprised mostly of middle class taxpayers (and includes the owners of small businesses and farms), who have come to the realization that it's going to take more than just casting our vote to straighten out the mess that the Republicans and Democrats have made in Washington.
Up to this point, we, the working middle class, have been too busy earning a living and trying to improve our own personal financial situation, to get involved in politics.
- We've been letting the two major political parties, each with their own agenda, determine who we'll be able to vote for.
- Come election day, we go to our designated polling place, and many of us cast our vote without really knowing anything about some (or most) of the candidates on the ballot. A lot of us simply vote straight Democrat or Republican and get a mix of the good, the mediocre, the bad, and sometimes the ugly.
- Then we go back to work and hope that whoever wins will do their job the way it should be done. The time has come to change this scenario. Let's unite and organize so that we can influence who the candidates will be, and then to monitor their performance to make sure they don't sell us out.
We are the majority. We have the power, but we've been allowing ourselves to be manipulated and used by the two parties, both corrupted by the super wealthy, the special interests, and liberals through campaign contributions, generous lobbyists, and in some cases by just plain bribery.
Isn't it interesting that the Democrats who claim to represent the working class, and who talk the loudest about the lack of regulation of the banks, mortgage companies, insurance companies, etc., oftentimes receive larger contributions from these same entities than do their Republican counterparts? Think about it. Why would the super wealthy and special interests give so much money to the Democratic candidates who claim they are representing the working middle class?
Washington is now being ruled by greed, corruption, incompetence and party loyalty, and as long as we continue to vote for Democrats and Republicans, whose first loyalty is to their party, the situation will continue to deteriorate.
Only an Independant, or a maverick, would attempt to change the status quo.
This is the key reason why our organization is backing the McCain/Palin ticket. Both have proven that they have the courage and capability to go up against their own party to put the welfare of their constituents and country first. They also have demonstrated that they have the character, integrity and leadership qualities that are absolutely essential to be President and Vice President of the United States of America.
